Robotic food delivery is expected to be out in United States this February. Is takeout going to be technology oriented now? What is the future of food delivery boys with this? Well, nothing can be confirmed about it now but it does seem that Starship Bot is all set to take their place and make takeout smarter than before.

So what is Starship basically?
The test day of the Starship Bot is soon to arrive and it is heard that a test guy will be moving behind it all along the way. So what is Starship basically? It is a small container which has the ability to roll along at 4mph. The employee will be walking right behind it, to save it from any unexpected flip overs or incidents. This scene is going to be too interesting to look at because it might seem as if a parent is walking behind its child or toddler, to be more specific.
Starship Bot is really street savvy and the rumors have it that the first two U.S customers of this roll on container will be Door Dash and Post mates. If you think that this baby container is not going to pass its test day, then you are totally wrong. It has already been tested in Switzerland and Germany and has rather delivered amazing services not just in food delivery but also at grocery shops and parcel companies. In November 2016, it was heard that this really smart and tiny bot had 12,000 miles right under its wheels. Isn’t that super incredible?
So are you ready for smarter food deliveries?
4mph speed might sound too cheap but to be very honest, the sources say that the Bot is quite high tech. how is that, right? Firstly, this tiny bot comes with 9 cameras. Second, it has a 360 degree ultra-sonic sensor array and to drool over it further, the bot has an Nvidia Tegra K1 processor. Its size might try fooling you but this bot is really setting new goals of technology smartness for the upcoming gadgets this year. These features helps it in avoiding obstacles, mapping the environment and providing great services. It is also said that the navigation system of this bot is really great than a lot of non-military GPS receivers out there. So you know that this thing is not as simple as it might look like; it has a lot more than you might think of.
However, Starship isn’t the only bot that is hitting the market in name of tech oriented food delivery and smarter takeout’s. The competing companies do exist but by far, Starship is going around making the headlines, or let’s say highlighting itself the most. This does make the existence of other competing bots a little hard but they definitely will be needing luck to stay in the game along with Starship.
So are you ready for smarter food deliveries? Well, the tech oriented world is certainly saying yes to it and its time that we do too!
