The war situation in Ukraine is becoming increasingly complicated. Even imposing a bunch of sanctions on Russia is not working much well. In this situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sat in the meeting to review the situation. The meeting, held on Thursday night was attended by heads of state from the Quad Meeting countries. US President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida were in the meeting.

In yesterday’s Virtual Meeting, Modi emphasized solving problems through dialogue. He said Ukraine and Russia should resolve the dispute by any means at the negotiating table. Because there is no other way. However, if Moscow continues to attack, there are doubts about how the negotiating environment will be created.

Earlier in the day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for a direct meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. On the other hand, the second round of discussion on the Belarus border is also being discussed. However, nothing has been achieved so far.

Modi’s message is that war needs to be stopped in the interest of humanity. And so the rest of the world insists on this, he said.
