Former US President Donald Trump’s social media app ‘Truth Social’ is coming to Apple’s App Store soon. Truth Social has recently been listed in Apple’s App Store. According to the information provided in the App Store, the app will be officially available for download on February 21.
Former US President Donald Trump was banned from all major social media platforms for allegedly inciting the Capitol Hill riots on January 8, 2021; Outraged by the ban, the former Republican head of state announced the launch of his own social media service. The Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), owned by Trump, has created the ‘Truth Social’ app.
Looking at the screenshots of the App Store, the tech site Verge says that it looks like Twitter. The profile page shown in the screenshot is almost exactly like Twitter, with ‘reply’, ‘retweet’, and ‘share’ icons at the bottom of each post. Users’ posts are labeled ‘Truth’ or ‘Truth’ in the app’s description.
Although the app will be released on the iOS platform on February 21, it is not yet clear whether it will be released on the same day for Android and web platforms. For the time being, the free app on the website of ‘Truth Social’ has the opportunity to add names to the waiting list by filling the pre-order button and certain forms.
