This is the first time in Bharat that so many people have been sentenced to death together. A special court in Gujarat has sentenced 36 of the 49 people convicted in the 2006 Ahmedabad blast case to death. The court yesterday has also clarified the reason. The court clarified why they are not being sentenced to life imprisonment. The court clearly gave a statement that the culprits are as dangerous as the man-eating leopard. So this is the right decision.

What exactly did the special court say? The court ruled that all thirty-six people deserved the death penalty. Because giving them a chance to return to society means releasing the ‘man-eating leopard’ in the middle of the crowd. The court held that those who kill innocent people irrespective of their age, religion or caste should be punished in this way.

The court added, “The only way to bring peace and security in the country and its citizens is to execute a strict punishment who carry out such militant activities.”

But why the remaining accused were not hanged, but lifetime imprisonment has also been clarified by the judges. It is said that they took militant training hand in hand with the main gangs. But their role in the Ahmedabad blasts is not like hanging. However, the court said that the accused should be kept in jail till the end of their lives.
