US relations with Russia have deteriorated over Ukraine. On this occasion, the United States sent a strong message to China that China should not focus on Taiwan. The strike group of two US nuclear-powered warplanes is already training in the Philippine Sea. The U.S. Navy has deployed another patrol in Yokosuka, near Japan.

Meanwhile, China does not like the deployment of such a US fleet. On Sunday, 39 People’s Liberation Army warplanes violated Taiwan’s airspace. However, the US claims that the warships are conducting exercises in international waters in accordance with international law. Meanwhile, Taiwan has also activated its surface-to-air missiles in the face of the Chinese military’s threat.

With this massive US naval presence in Taiwan, however, Washington sent a clear message to Beijing that the United States would take action if the Chinese military tried to occupy or infiltrate Taipei in any way.

Since the Ukraine issue has created a tense situation between the US and Russia. Many believed that in the meantime, Chinese President Xi Jinping would follow an aggressive path toward Taiwan. However, the Biden administration has already warned China that it aims to deploy Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh. At the same time, Washington is making it clear to Beijing that the US eye is still on the Taiwan Strait.
