India responds to the Ukrainian government’s request. The central government is sending relief and medicine to Kyiv, the capital of the war-torn country. According to sources, the decision to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine was taken at a central meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday night on the situation in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sought India’s help shortly after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the military operation. But incidentally, India abstained from voting on a resolution in the UN Security Council condemning Russian aggression. The Modi government has also garnered praise from Moscow for this. Since then, many Indians stranded in Ukraine have complained that the country’s border guards are not allowing them to cross the border.

Allegedly, the army and police are uniting to send Indians from the Polish border region to Ukraine. Shots are being fired into the air again and again to spread panic. There are also allegations of dragging Indians out of the visa line after standing in line for about 36 hours.

The Modi government decided to provide relief aid to Ukraine for the sake of humanity in the face of adverse reactions in the country. Sources claim that the center has already started taking steps to send relief to Ukraine.
