The necessary weapons and military equipment for the Indian forces will have to be made as soon as they arrive in India. India has made this very clear to its allies, including the United States, Russia, and France. This was demanded by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at the annual conference of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Saturday. “Our message to the countries that manufacture military equipment is to come to India, to India, and to the world,” he said.

He cited the visit of French Defense Minister Florence Parley to India as an example. Parli met Rajnath on a two-day visit on Friday. Rajnath said a large French company would join hands with Indian companies to build an ‘engine’ on Indian soil. The defense minister, Mr. Rajnath Singh did not provide further details.

According to reports, France has offered to sell nuclear-capable Barracuda submarines to India after the Rafale warplane. Probably, the proposal was made to Delhi from the French Defense Minister’s visit to India. It is reported that the French company wants to build this submarine on Indian soil in collaboration with the Indian partner in the ‘Make in India’ program.
