A full-length statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is going to be erected at India Gate. The statue is to be erected to mark Netaji’s 125th birth anniversary. This was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet. This statue is going to be made of granite stone.
The Prime Minister wrote, “The whole country is celebrating the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. I would like to inform you that a huge statue of Netaji made of granite will be installed at India Gate. This statue is going to be made as a symbol of the way the country is indebted to him. ”
As long as the statue is not being made, there will be a hologram statue of Netaji in that place. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the hologram statue on Sunday.
Netaji’s daughter Anita Bose Puff welcomed the decision to erect a full-length statue of Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate. Anita said she was a little surprised at the decision to erect a statue of Netaji at the India Gate amid tensions between the Center and the state over the cancellation of Bengal’s Netaji-Tablo during the Republic Day parade in Delhi. “It’s a good decision,” she said.
