Across the rural areas in India and its urban centers, it is very common to hear Hindus saying ‘Ram-Ram’ to one another, as a form of daily greeting. Over the past three decades, Lord Rama is worshiped by all Hindu people in India. The Ayodhya dispute is a political, historical and socio-religious debate in India, centered on a plot in Ayodhya, located in Faziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The site traditionally regarded among Hindus to be the birthplace of the Hindu deity Rama, but the history and location of the Babri Masjid at the site is the main issue for the debate.  Hindus of India claimed that a previous Hindu temple was demolished or modified to create the mosque.

Last month before the Uttar Pradesh election Mr. Adityanath said that the hurdles for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya will be removed and its construction will be started soon. In a press conference, Gorakahpur’s MP Adityanath had said, “Our biggest responsibility is to embrace our brothers and establish harmony in the society,”

After Yogi Adityanath takes charges of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, 19th March, people of Ayodhya are hoping for the early construction of Ram temple. Emotions around the birthplace of Lord Rama and development around the temple are the main reason – people want to see ‘Ram Mandir’ at the place. It is very to Mr. Adityanath that he has no problem to change any Muslim construction into a name of Hindu construction. He has changed the name of Alinagar to Aryanagar, name of Urdu Bajar to Hindi Bajar. Even, he wants to change the name of Delhi’s Tajmahal to Tejo Mahalay, if he got the power. According to his opinion, earlier there was a temple of Lord Shiva at the place of Taj Mahal which was known as ‘Tejo Mahalay’.

That is the main reason of expectation for Ayodhya People. Earlier when the BJP’s Modi govt. was formed in the Centre the demand for Ram Mandir was raised but the central government had given the excuse of not having the majority in the Rajya Sabha, but now the overall situation has turned in the BJP’s favor and now the people may not be in the mood to take any more excuses on this issue.

A senior priest of a prominent Agra temple said that the majority voters have elected BJP into power because they wanted the Ram temple to be built and now all the conditions are finally favorable for the construction of the ‘Ram Mandir’, the demand for the construction to begin will rise soon.

Mr. Adityanath said taking lessons from the life of Lord Ram, every people of our society should march together for nation-building. The 44-year-old Adityanath’s comments on ‘Ram Mandir’ in Ayodhya came ahead of the Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh.

He expressed his expectation that the central governments will coordinate on this matter and instead of giving more excuses, they will work together to build the temple. According to his opinion, the BJP knows what people of UP want in the state.
