This is not the new; India and Pakistan regularly make such claims to the international body. Recently, 34th international conference, United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has been held in Geneva on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. India slammed Pakistan in the conference in Geneva, saying that the neighboring country, Pakistan is becoming world’s terrorist factory.
An Indian diplomat, Nabanita Chakrabarti said that apart from becoming world’s terrorism factory, Pakistan has also alienated their own people through continued mistreatment of minorities. Speaking at a United Nations conference, she also said that Pakistan was misusing the United Nations Human Rights Council meetings to speak on the internal matters of Jammu & Kashmir.
Ms. Chakrabarty said to the president of UNHRC “Jammu and Kashmir is part of a secular democracy, where an independent judiciary and a vibrant civil society guarantee freedoms”. Pakistan always insisted violence and terrorism. India always asked Pakistan and their people to refrain from supporting violence in any part of India. “Pakistan must rein in its compulsive hostility and fighting mood towards India,”
Actually, Pakistan has pointed out some reference of Jammu and Kashmir issue and that was the main reason behind the comment of Ms. Chakrabarti on Pakistan in the 34th International conference. Pakistan has referred to the situation of minorities in India. Minorities in India have been Civil servants, Vice Presidents, Presidents, Prime Ministers, cricket team captains, Bollywood superstars-can the minorities of Pakistan claim even a shadow of this? Terrorism is the greatest violation of nation’s human rights and it should be so acknowledged by any impartial observer. She said that the Pakistan has chosen again to misuse the council’s big platform to make delusive references about India’s internal matters related to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. They have all the blasphemy laws and relentless abuse and violations of the human rights.
Kashmir is completely a part of India but Pakistan has occupied some part of the state illegally which is the main concern for all Indian people. India expressed concern over the rising partisan conflict in the Pakistan occupied Kashmir due to neighboring country’s occupation and invidious policies. Due to frequent attack and nurturing and exporting terrors, India came down heavily. Pakistan’s continuous support for all the violent activities of terror groups operating in Jammu and Kashmir is the main challenge for protecting the human rights of citizens of J & K. India also demanded that Pakistan must fulfill its obligation to vacate illegally Occupied Kashmir.
