On the occasion of Netaji’s 125th birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the hologram of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s full-length statue. He unveiled the statue on Sunday evening. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also present on the occasion. Later, a granite statue of Netaji will be erected at India Gate.
After the unveiling of the statue on Sunday, Modi said, “I pay my respects to Netaji. This is a historic moment. This statue is a tribute to the hero of freedom. ” The Prime Minister remarked that the dream of an independent India is now a matter of time. In his words, “No power on earth can prevent the fulfillment of that dream.”
The Prime Minister also mentioned that Netaji was a symbol of patriotism. “Netaji has taught us to take away our freedom,” he said. He believed in an independent, secular India. ”
Earlier, in a tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that a statue of Netaji would be made of granite. In that tweet, he wrote, “The whole country is celebrating the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. I would like to inform you that a huge statue of Netaji made of granite will be installed at India Gate. The statue is being erected as a symbol of the way the country is indebted to him. ”
Netaji’s daughter Anita Bose Puff welcomed the decision to erect a full-length statue of Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate.
