Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has given directions to install biometric punching machines for marking attendance as well as in the time of officials in public schools and offices up to the Block level. This plan of Yogi is only to increase the efficiency of government offices in the state. The chief minister said, “Efforts should be made to ensure that a biometric system of attendance is installed up to the block level. Apart from this, a board will also be put up at every village panchayat level, which will have all the information about the details of the ongoing works under Village Pradhan.”

Yogi’s instructions came during a meeting with the rural development department officials on Saturday night. The CM said that the targets of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana should be achieved. The Chief Minister said formalities related to this scheme should be done as soon as possible, which includes a photograph, registration,  up-gradation, housing unit approvals for about six lakh eligible. “The Centre will be requested to incorporate eligible families, which have been left out,” Adityanath said.

The CM also asked to link payments to all Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme (MNREGS) workers with the Aadhaar-based scheme. In the meeting, he also asked officials to submit information on various schemes of water in the state such as the National Rural Drinking Water Programme, “Neer Nirmal”, the World Bank-aided scheme and the Rajya Grameen Payjal Yojana.

To address the problems of drinking water scarcity in the state, piped water supply schemes will also be implemented as soon as possible apart from Bundelkhand project. CM Yogi Adityanath also said that to minimize the scarcity, repair works including hand-pumps along with re-boring should be done.

The CM Mr. Adityanath also directed all of them to implement the 160 pipes water supply schemes in all over the state and also gave instructions to merge the Rural Development Department with the Samagra Gram Vikas Department. According to him, “Installation of new hand-pumps and re-boring of existing hand-pumps under the quota of MLAs should be completed soon after taking their consent”.

At the time of Indian National Congress also, there were numbers of good schemes in the country for the improvement of the quality of life but, all those schemes were a failure due to bad implementation strategy and under-utilization of the scheme. Now it is good to see that not only the central govt. but also the state govt. is very much aware of the 100% implementation of those official schemes. Biometric punch is only for the 100 percent implementation of those good schemes. Already private farms have implemented the biometric system to ensure the discipline of their employees. Now the same is very much essential in government offices also. From that angle, CM Yogi Adityanath has planned in a right direction.
