75 in 75 years. Simultaneously going into Earth orbit, in a single launch. This year, on the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, 75 satellites are being launched into Earth orbit simultaneously. To make the country’s internet system faster and more efficient. To provide uninterrupted access to the Internet even in remote areas of the country. ISRO sources said this on Wednesday.

The name of the campaign is ‘Unitisat’. Its first innovation is that these 75 artificial satellites have been built on Indian soil. From head to toe with Indian equipment. The second innovation is that these 75 satellites were made by at least one thousand Indian students. Some of them are associated with Chandigarh University or the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur) in Kanpur. Some are associated with 12 other educational institutions in the country, including IIT Bombay, and even a few schools.

The sole objective of the mission is to provide uninterrupted access to the Internet of Things (IoT) from space to remote areas of the country. The mission will be jointly conducted by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the Indian Technology Congress Association (ITCA).
