This was stated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the inaugural function of his murals in Ahmedabad on Sunday, the 74th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. In Shah’s words, “Bapu taught us the importance of khadi. But unfortunately, we forgot that. The khadi industry has been revived at the hands of Narendra Modi, the son of Gujarat. ” The Union Home Minister also said that if the people of Gujarat use at least one useful item of Khadi, it could be a handkerchief.

Shah claimed that after independence, everyone had forgotten Gandhiji’s idea of ​​building a strong India. As the Prime Minister of the country, Modi has given him a new look. He further said, “Gandhiji not only fought for the independence of India but also for Swadeshi, Satyagraha, Swabhasa, Sadhanasuddhi, Aparigraha, Prayer, Fasting and offered to restructure the country after gaining independence through simplicity.”

Explaining his statement, he said, “The new education policy of the country has emphasized on mother tongue”.
