To install strictness amongst govt. employees, Chief Minister of UP Mr. Yogi Adityanath has come up with a unique idea to check the presence of officers in their office. Adityanath has decided to call on their landline numbers to find out if they are at their own desk or not. The power minister of the state, Mr. Shrikant Sharma, said that Yogi will dial numbers anytime between 9 am to 6 pm. They will be spared if they are able to justify their absence, but if they are not then they will be slapped with huge penalties.
The spokesman of Uttar Pradesh Mr. Sharma also said that officials on the field jobs will be given some relaxation. He explained. “The idea is that if the top bosses are present in their office and desk, juniors will follow them” In another decision, senior officers in the UP have been ordered to immediately close their home- offices.
The 44-year-old CM told the officials that only those who are ready to work up to twenty hours will be able to work with him. A Few days ago, he has also taken measures to ensure the presence of the govt. staff by the direction that biometric punching attendance systems be put in place to deter late-comers.
Mr. Sharma also said that after completing a marathon round of departmental presentations, the Yogi will follow up after 100 days to see whether his decisions were followed or not. He said that each department has been asked to release a ‘white paper’ on its functioning and a report card on the completion of hundred days of the govt.
The state Cabinet chaired by the UP CM had recently canceled fifteen holidays ordered by the previous governments of UP to commemorate the birth or death anniversary of famous Indian leaders as part of an attempt to change UP’s work culture.
This decision of CM Yogi Adityanath is not only for the improvement of the system but also the improvement of Human Development Index. All the previous governments in Uttar Pradesh always tried to help poor people. No one tried to find out the real cause of poverty. No one tried to remove poverty from the state. Main reason for all those drawbacks of the state is only the non-availability of jobs. If all officials will try to work with full efficiency, then it will not take more than 5 years to improve profit center any farm or system. And it is obvious that after the improvement in revenue every farm or offices will try to enlarge their business which will create job vacancies. So, let’s see what happens. Yogi’s decision and directions are in the right direction of improvement not only for the state but also for the human development. But it is the matter of observation whether people will accept his mission-vision or not.
