Thunder at the United Nations. Russia and the United States have been at loggerheads over growing tensions between Ukraine and Russia. The United States on Tuesday called on the United Nations Security Council to discuss the deployment of Russian troops on the Ukrainian border. After that, the ambassadors of the two countries got involved in a conflict over this issue.

On the same day, US Ambassador Linda Thomas Greenfield claimed that this had not happened in Europe in decades. His statement was opposed by the Russian ambassador. On the contrary, he claims, the United States is thus spreading unwarranted tensions and sniffing at Russia’s internal problems. Complaints, counter-accusations heated up the environment.

Meanwhile, the United States has urged Russia to reduce its aggression on the Ukrainian border. Russia also responded in writing. However, Washington did not disclose exactly what Moscow said. Rather, he said that since Russia had given the answer in secret, it would be unprincipled to say anything about it.

Just a few days ago, US President Joe Biden assured Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenski of his support, saying that despite such a ban, if there was an attack on Ukraine, Russia would receive a “terrible response”. He says the United States is committed to protecting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
