Activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad have sought justice from the Governor of Tamil Nadu through the tehsil administration in the case of student Lavanya’s suicide. In a memorandum sent to the governor, he has said that the youth of the entire country is in extreme shock and pain due to this incident.
In the memorandum, ABVP activists accused the police of not working actively to punish the culprits. He said that large-scale conversion should be taken into consideration. The case of Lavanya is also connected with conversion due to which he had to end his life.
He has demanded a proper and transparent inquiry into the matter. Among those who handed over the memorandum were ABVP state joint minister Sandeep Rana and Tripti Baluni, Aman Pant, Gaurav Negi, Rahul, Deepak, Hitesh, Nikhil, Mahipal, Rohit, Akhilesh, Manish etc.
On Wednesday, the 17-year-old student Lavanya residing in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu had attempted suicide and die. The student was being forcibly forced to convert to Christianity. When the student did not get success in opposing this, then she has made up her mind to give her life. There is a lot of resentment among people about this move of Lavanya. People have also started a campaign to get justice for Lavanya.
