Dubai-based Emirates has said it will suspend flights to several US cities, including Chicago, Newark, and San Francisco. Japan Airlines and ANA Holdings Inc. announced on Tuesday that they would suspend flights to certain US routes. They also said they would suspend flights to the United States on their six jets.
Korean airlines have reported that their 6 and 747-8 aircraft have been affected for 5-G service and are changing flight routes. Air India Limited has also warned that the number of flights to and from the US will be reduced from January 19.
However, after last-minute security talks with government officials, it was reported that A&T and Verizon had agreed to delay the launch of more than 100 5G towers near various US airports.
