The United States has entered the new year with record-breaking infections for continuous 4 days a week. Omicron panic and the fear of economic uncertainty in the minds of ordinary people.

Lights are still shining around cities across the United States. Luxurious festivities like every year in Times Square, historic ball drops, lighting of hundreds of homes in different areas throughout the month. There was no shortage of New Year’s celebrations, but people were not relieved.

Joe Biden won the 2020 election with a promise to end the coronavirus. But he is losing popularity now. Elections to the US House of Representatives or Congress are set to take place in November this year, along with elections for governors of 36 states. Omicron will be a big litmus test for the Biden administration in this ‘mid-term’ election.

Although Omicron is less terrifying than the previous variants of the Covid-19, it is spreading at an extremely fast pace. On January 3, 1 million cases of coronavirus were detected in the United States. But due to the crisis of test kits, testing at home, and late reporting due to holidays, this number is not considered as full picture.
