The coastal areas of Tamil Nadu have been affected badly by the recent heavy rains. As per the Indian meteorological department, India saw more than 500 events of heavy rainfall and around 150 very heavy rainfall this November, which is the highest in the month in five years. The CMs of this state always tried to defame Modi Govt but while taking monetary help from the center, they are always at the front of the race.
In a letter CM, Mr. M K Stalin requested the Home Affairs to release a huge amount of money from the central to restore normalcy in the state after the heavy rain affected the coastal area very badly.
A total of 6000 crore rupees has been requested in three memoranda, seeking assistance from the government of India. Mr. Stalin also added the tight financial situation of the state in the letter, due to Covid 19.
The letter has been written today 29th December by Mr. Stalin, but those three memoranda were submitted on 15th November, 25th November, and 15th December which he has mentioned on his Twitter page today.
