The committee which is investigating the Capitol attack incident, now declared that it will investigate Trump’s call details. In the attack, a mob vandalized property and occupied the capitol complex on 6th January 2021, in which a total of 5 persons was killed. Mr. Bennie Thompson has been appointed as the chairman of the committee who will open an inquiry on the matter and will investigate Trump’s phone call.
Mr. Thompson said- “The committee wants to scrutinize the phone call of Mr. Trump, should they prevail in their legal effort to obtain Trump White House records over the former president’s objections of executive privilege.”
In this interview, Mr. Thomson added that Mr. Trump was busy with a late-night call, from the white house, with the Willard hotel in Washington DC. The investigating team is trying to find out if there is any suspicious thing in the call where Trump tried to stop Biden’s certification from taking place on 6th January.
But no one can find out the detailed conversation, according to the forensic and cyber team- they can only learn the target and date-time of the exact call. If the said committee succeeds also in its litigation to pry free Donald Trump’s call records from the National Archives, then also they can not find the exact conversation without testimony from people with knowledge of what was said.
