The central govt employees have been waiting for a long-awaited DA. But this Christmas the government may announce a 16-month DA. It is heard that under the 7th Pay Commission, in addition to the 31 percent expensive allowance, many more benefits will be given to the employees. JCM Secretary (Staff Side) Shiv Gopal Mishra opened his mouth about this. He said there has been a demand for a one-time settlement of arrears of DA for 18 months. The matter could be discussed with the Cabinet Secretary in December.
According to Shiv Gopal Mishra of JCM’s National Council, if we talk about Level 1 employees, the arrears in DA range from Rs 11,60 to Rs 36,554. Similarly, if we talk about Level 13 employees, the arrears in DA can go up to 5 lacs.
