The new headquarters of Bhartiya Janata Party in Delhi will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of senior leaders Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah and other prominent leaders. The building is completed with all modern technology and modern equipment.

Former Party President Murli Manohar Joshi and Lal Krishna Advani are invited for the inaugural function. The new headquarters is located at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg and it has all the modern equipment installed. This is the first time that any major National Party has shifted its headquarters from the Lutyens’s Bungalow zone to outside. This change has been done because of a directive from Supreme Court that the offices should be relocated from there.

Mr. Arun Singh, BJP’s National Secretary said that the headquarters has been completed only because of sheer enthusiasm and endurance of party workers and it has been a dream realized. He said that Amit Shah’s vision led the building to be completed. The ceremony will see many top leaders and ministers.

The building has seventy rooms and its foundation had been laid down by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah in mid-2016 has been completed. It is spread over two acres and three blocks with modern technological equipment installed. The headquarters is sprawled three blocks with the main building being seven stories high and other two building on its side is only three stories high. The campus is fully WiFi enabled and there are two conference rooms and a digital library. There is an underground parking for more than two-hundred cars and there are several cafeterias on the campus.

At the entrance of the building, there are several larger than life cut outs of Lal Krishna Advani and Atal Bihari Vajpayee along with Amit Shah and Narendra Modi. The pictures are there to mark the respect for the party veterans for their contribution to the party. The Bhartiya Janata Party is in power in eighteen states and this is going to be the first time when it will have a permanent address. The thirty-eight-year-old party’s previous headquarter was situated in Lutyens’s Bungalow area. It has been fitted with modern technology and equipment. The party had been previously working from Ashoka road and Indian National Congress, its main rival was operating from the Akbar Road. The two areas are a part of a pool of government residences.

According to a source, the party will be shifting in the coming two-three weeks and this will be the first time that the party will have a permanent address. A Mumbai based architecture company had designed and built the headquarters whose foundation had been laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Party President Amit Shah last year. The headquarters is sprawled three blocks with the main building being seven stories high and other two building on its side is only three stories high. The campus is fully WiFi enabled and there are two conference rooms and a digital library. The modern equipment will enable the party workers to coordinate with their state-level counterparts at the real time.

The new building will have offices for the party leaders and a digital library with two conference rooms with TV screens for online discussions in real time. It will be linked through the internet to each state headquarters and video conferencing will be possible at any time wished by the party leaders. The library will include old party literature and books from all over the world.
