Delhi minister Mr. Kapil Sharma today challenged Arvind Kejriwal to take lie detector test with him. Mr. Mishra accused Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of receiving Rs. 2 crore cash in an illegal deal. He was also sacked after accusing Chief Minister. He has hinted at another “important announcement at 5 pm”. Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has referred Kapil Mishra’s allegation to the anti-corruption branch of the police to investigate.
This morning Kapil Mishra went to the anti-corruption branch (ACB), which is just a few km from Mr. Kejriwal’s official home and told reporters that he had shared all the information that he had. He has alleged that he saw Arvind Kejriwal accepting the money from Delhi’s health minister Satyendra Jain. He also alleged that Mr. Satyendra Jain informed him about “settling land deals worth fifty crore rupees for Kejriwal’s relative”.
Only a day after he said he had witnessed Arvind Kejriwal take Rs 2 crore from Satyendra Jain in another case, Mr. Mishra alleged that the investigation into the tanker scam that dated back to Sheila Dikshit’s tenure as CM was repeatedly delayed and influenced by Kejriwal and his two followers. Mishra also said he had shared all the evidence related to the tanker scam with the Anti-Corruption Branch. The water tanker scam relates to alleged irregularities in the hiring of private tankers to supply water in the state.
But Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has rejected the allegation, with Deputy CM Mr. Manish Sisodia calling it a “joke”. Kapil Mishra said, “I want that Arvind Kejriwal, Satyendra Jain and I should undergo a lie-detector test.”
Kapil Mishra is considered very close to the AAP leader Kumar Vishwas, who almost quit the party last week as an internal feud boiled over just after the party’s hopeless performance in the recent civil elections in the capital. Like Mr. Kumar Vishwas, he was one of the few AAP party leaders who had contradicted the AAP party’s stand, blaming Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) for its poor performance in the municipal elections.
Kapil Mishra claimed Jain had told him in a private conversation that he had “settled” 50 crore’s land deal in favor of a relative of the chief minister Kejriwal. Mr. Mishra also added that he seeking for an appointment with the CBI in connection with the 2 crore rupees allegations. The bombshell prompted calls from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress for Kejriwal’s ouster, but Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) stood solidly behind its leader, insisting there was no merit in the allegation.
Whatever may be the reason, it’s true that there has started deterioration in AAP party’s vision and mission. Once upon a time, Mr. Kejriwal was dreaming about Prime minister of India, but is it possible in this way? Always a question will arise. And ultimately it is proved that faultfinding is not the solution to get public support.
