SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali 2 is in no mood to stop or take a break. The film has zoomed past the 100 crore mark across the country on day one and it has created another record on day four, which has crossed Rs 600 crore worldwide gross mark from the Hindi market, according to the report on Indian Box-office.
Trade tracker Ramesh Bala said, “Baahubali2 bagged Rs. 490 Crs in India, Rs. 135 Crs in oversea and total, Total Rs. 625 Crs. Across the globe in only 4 days”. Talking about Monday records, Taran Adarsh said that Bahubali 2 has just bulldozed all the past records and we are waiting for final numbers.
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ is one of the highly anticipated films after the phenomenal success of the film ‘Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015. The film is Paired with state-of-the-art and a good story, the release of the sequel had fans flocking to cinema hall in large numbers to have their question ‘Why Kattappa killed Baahubali? answered.
Peoples are considering it not as a film but an epic. According to them Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2 are the beginning of a new Era of Movie making in Indian Film Industry. With Baahubali2 director SS Rajamouli has raised the bar many fold. It is surely going to set a new benchmark at Indian Box office which will not be achieved again in coming 4-5 years.
Baahubali 2: the Conclusion is set to surpass the lifetime collection of Aamir Khan’s great film PK, if the current trends are anything to go by. At United State’s box office also, Baahubali 2: stands at number three, after Fast & the Furious 8 and a Latin film by Salma Hayek.
The film starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan had a massive release. It opened on 9 thousand screens worldwide, with almost 6.5k screens in India alone. The film was hard-sold by its team. Many people doubted whether it will live up to all the hype or not but Baahubali 2 did not disappoint. The film raked in greater than Rs 100 crore in India on day one of its release and a total of Rs 220 crore worldwide.
Taran Adarsh tweeted that “no one can imagine an Indian film would collect Rs. 65.65 cr in its ‘opening weekend’ in the USA alone? But Baahubali 2 has achieved the feat”. Indeed the film has become a phenomenon. He even revealed Baahubali 2 profits as against last year’s mega-hits Sultan and Dangal. Director, SS Rajamouli dreamt of this mega movie in 2011 and gave almost six years of his life for the film. Ramgopal Verma gave his great comment on twitter-“Indian cinema is going to be BB (Before Bahubali) and AB (After Baahubali)”
