The bomber struck shortly afternoon in front of a courthouse. A bomb blast rocked the district court premises in Ludhiana, Punjab, on Thursday morning. According to court sources, two people were killed in the blast. Many people were seriously injured when people rushed out of the blast site.

The blast took place on the fourth floor of the Ludhiana district court. Immediately after the blast, the bomb squad of Ludhiana district police and local police station reached the spot. People have been evacuated from the area for security reasons. Police are investigating who and what caused the blast. The explosion took place in a locked bathroom of the court at around 12 pm today, which has damaged the floor, glass, and as well as nearby rooms.

According to the source, this intentional explosion was an attempt aimed at scaring a particular community for the polarization of votes. The blast clearly tells about a pre-planned series of peace-disrupting activities to create nuisance in the state.

Although till now the exact reason is unknown to police about its source and persons who were involved in this incident, FIR has already been lodged against an unknown person.
