Mamata Banerjee said that her party has entered Goa to help the people in elections and not to control the state. The President of Trinamool Congress also stated that anybody willing to defeat BJP in Goa is welcomed to support her party.
In her two-day visit, Mamata Banerjee expressed that she has plans for the betterment of the Coastal state. She also said that she will be working on her development plans and implementing the same within six months of coming to power in Goa, just like she did in West Bengal.
Ms. Banerjee also revealed that TMC had not thought of coming to the Coastal state and participating in the election but her plans changed when she realized how the other parties are putting enough effort into defeating BJP in Goa. This is when Ms. Banerjee decided to contest the election in Goa.
Banerjee raised the ‘Khel Jatlo’ slogan in Goa just like she did during the election campaigns in West Bengal. She said football and films connect both West Bengal and Goa. Keeping this in mind, TMC is arranging for several football legends from West Bengal to come to Goa and campaign for the party.
