India’s first Chief of Defense Staff, Bipin Rawat was killed in a tragic chopper accident in Tamil Nadu. At the same time, several other front-line officers lost their lives. The real cause of the accident has not been revealed yet. Various speculations have been made about it but Air Chief Marshal Mr. VR Chowdhury wants a full detailed investigation to reveal the truth. He is not in favor of rushing into the matter

He was present at the Combined Graduation Parade at the Air Force Academy near Hyderabad. The Chief of Air Staff said that the investigation team of the three forces has been instructed to look into all aspects. The whole process will take a few more weeks to complete. However, he did not want to give any information about what has been found in the investigation so far.

The chief said the process of examining different aspects is going on. He said, “All I can say is that the investigation is moving in the right direction”.

Mr Chowdhury also added some critical aspects on India-China tension in his interview. “Meanwhile, China’s’ excesses’ on the Ladakh border continue. One after another meetings has been held between the two countries to resolve the conflict. However, there is no similarity between China’s words and deeds. Although they are talking about peace, they are preparing for war on the ground”. That news is not unknown to India. So the Indian forces are also preparing for retaliation. Special emphasis is being laid on the preparation of airspace. This was indicated by Air Chief Marshal Vivekaram Chowdhury on Saturday.
