The present government of Jharkhand has taken a new initiative to alleviate the crisis of migrant workers by taking education from the extremes. The present CM of Jharkhand Mr. Hemant Soren said that the migrant workers of the state are moving outside the state in search of work Under the new management, not only the Labor Department of Jharkhand will do this, but also the ‘Labor Consulates’ will be opened in different states. Already the Jharkhand government has planned to open such labor consulates in Ladakh and Kerala.
Countless migrant workers lost their jobs overnight after a nationwide lockdown was announced last year. Faced with an uncertain future, they began to return to their homes from Vinh State. Thousands of workers walked home with the risk of coronary heart disease. Some died in accidents on the way, some in fatigue. Many workers also went missing. Not only that, but many women in Jharkhand also work as migrant workers.
They are often tortured while going to work in Vinh State. The Jharkhand government has also taken steps to ensure their social security.
