Without knowing the fact, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi directly tried to blame someone. Congress President Sonia Gandhi has expressed “deep concern” over the “tragic death” of student leader Anis Khan. He also said that the manner in which the land in the tribal area of Deucha-Panchami in Birbhum has been given for the mining project and the eviction plan is going on is also a matter of great concern.
Former opposition leader Abdul Mannan wrote a letter to Sonia about the two recent controversies in the state. The veteran Congress leader also pleaded to encourage the agitators by sending Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Badha to Howrah and Deucha-Panchami. In response to the letter, the Congress president said that she was keeping that request in mind.
For now, she has requested Mannan to convey his condolences to Anis’s family. Sonia also advised Mannan to continue the movement by supporting the steps taken by her on two issues. This is very much clear that she is doing this only to get some support from west Bengal before the completion of elections in 5 states.
