It would appear that soccer clubs and players alike have truly got a part of their minds in the upcoming summer transfer window as more and more rumors crop up. Despite the season far from being over the transfer window already looks set to be one of the best in recent years as it looks like some of the world’s biggest stars are to become available.

Everton main man Romelu Lukaku has apparently rejected a contract extension at the Toffees meaning that the Belgian will likely become available in the summer. The big striker is without a doubt Everton’s biggest asset and so if he presumably wants to leave the club there’s no way the Toffees will or can afford to let him leave for free. There are rumors that Chelsea believes they can get their former man back but in my opinion, this depends on whether Diego Costa remains or leaves. Another club believed to be interested are Manchester United which for Lukaku personally is probably the better destination as he would likely be treated as a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic who ultimately is coming to the end of his career.

Elsewhere there are some rumors that have been confirmed. These include West Ham enquiring about Arsenal’s Lucas Perez, Southampton interested in Ruben Semedo and Bruno Martins Indi is in talks with Stoke City over a permanent move. Of the three I think that Stoke’s move for Dutch defender Bruno Martins Indi is the most likely to materialize. Thus far Martins Indi has been useful for the Potters and so it would make perfect sense for both the player and club for a move to take place. I’ve always been impressed with Martins Indi, especially in his appearances for the national side, The Netherlands. Criminally underrated for me it would be a great bit of business for Stoke.

Aside from the confirmed and predictable transfer situations, here’s also been some rumours of some very ambitious moves which if they were to materialize would be a huge shock. The first of these is that of Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courois being of interest to Real Madrid. There’s absolutely no way Chelsea would let two of their biggest stars leave in one transfer window but with Madrid’s seemingly endless pot of money you can never know. Realistically Real Madrid don’t need yet another winger in Hazard but they are currently lacking an outstanding goalkeeper and so Courtois could be the answer. However personally I’m unsure as to whether his few years at rivals Atletico would put him off the move.

The next of the more hopeful rumours is that Marco Verratti is wanted by Jose Mourinho at Manchester United. If there’s one single player who needs to be replaced in the United team it’s Michael Carrick. Carrick has become some what of a United veteran and although not a player who steals the spotlight, he’s a player who makes the difference in games with his ability to set the tempo of a game. This season to a certain extent Ander Herrera has tried to take on this role but in my opinion and perhaps the opinion of Mourinho there’s no way he’ll be able to fulfil the role of Michael Carrick as well as Marco Verratti would be able to.

The final piece of transfer rumours relates to young French winger, Kingsley Coman. Currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Italian side Juventus the player will now be looking for a permanent club. Following a largely successful loan it’s most likely that he will move to the Bavarian side but there’s rumours that former boss Pep Guardiola is interested in trying to poach him for Manchester City although this is unlikely.

This summer transfer window looks to be the biggest in a fair few years.
