Havard University has invited Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan to give a keynote address on 10th February 2018. The world-famous university had invited Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan for the second time for a talk, the first time he was invited in 2016.

Mr. Kamal Ahsan has been pestered by a journalist for his alleged political alliance with the superstar Rajinikanth. He answered that any alliance seems not possible and said that he wished Rajinikanth’s color will not become saffron too.

Kamal Hassan said in Harvard University that his approach is different from Rajinikanth and the announcement came in a hue. He hoped that Rajinikanth’s color is not saffron. In his address, the actor-politician talked about the various issues that have plagued Tamil Nadu and its people.

He chose to speak on Tamil Nadu because it was a sheer necessity. He said that his state has sunk into lowest depth while comparing Harvard with Nalanda University as a seat of learning. He said that if the tradition was continued without any break, these types of the seminar would have been held at least 200 years back. Continuing the speech, he said that such platforms are necessary and they of utmost significance and importance.

Rajinikanth announced on 23rd December that he will join politics and ever since both he and Kamal Hasan has been asked whether they will contest elections together. Mr. Hasan neither confirmed nor ruled out the possibility of any future political alliance saying that red is not his political complexion. He said that he hoped Rajinikanth will not choose his color as saffron and if that happens then an alliance is most unlikely.

Mr. Kamal Hasan is 63 and he took a plunge in politics after accusing E Palaniswami government of bad governance and corruption. He had said earlier that a partnership with Rajinikanth is a decision which he will not take anytime soon. He aims for a clean politics and good governance in Tamil Nadu and he aspires to be a politician with a difference. In an interview, he said that his films were different from his peers and he will continue to do so in politics too.

At the Harvard University address, the actor turned politician said that he is not going to settle for one political ideology and he will choose from the international buffet of diverse political ideologies. He explained that choosing Rajinikanth was not like he was choosing the star cast of his film and that both things are different.

When Rajinikanth was asked the same question on January 17, he said that only tike will be able to tell whether it is possible or not. It would be best to just wait for that.

After former chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s death there has been a perceived vacuum in the Tamil Nadu politics. The actor had said in an interview that he yearned to see his state rise to the heights it deserved.
