Although Modi Government has taken all the steps to stop the spread of the New Covid variant, the Lok Sabha members have warned the Government about the rising cases of the newly found Omicron variant. They have raised an alarm saying that the Modi government has to chalk out a strong plan to handle the situation or this virus will prove to be fatal. They have also requested the Indian government to roll out the plans for the booster dose of vaccination.
According to Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury a Congress leader, 41 cases of the deadly Omicron variant have already been reported from different states of India. Chowdhury added that this might prove to be deadly if the Government does not start preparing to tackle this variant.
Chowdhury talked about chalking out plans for vaccinating children. He said that the European countries have already taken the initiative to vaccinate the children, and India should start doing it now. Saugata Roy a member of the Trinamool Congress party, has also requested the Modi government to be alert and roll out the booster doses of vaccination immediately. Roy added that Britain has already declared the Omicron variant of COVID-19 as an emergency. The Lok Sabha members are fearing that lack of action will lead to the third wave in India.
