The Delhi High Court has issued notices to Sonia-Rahul-Priyanka Gandhi in connection with the Delhi Violence in 2020. The notice has also been issued to another 25 people including Anurag Thakur, Kapil Mishra, Parbesh Burma, actress Swara Bhaskar, and Umar Khalid. The court decided to send notices to the influential leaders during the hearing of a case in this regard on Monday.
In New Delhi, the unrest broke out between supporters of the citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and opponents in the capital, Delhi, two years ago. Due to this, the northeastern part of Delhi became heated. In that violence, around 50 people have been killed and thousands were injured.
Houses, shops were set on fire there. Vandalism and looting were also reported in that violence. Provocative remarks by political and religious leaders, activists of various movements were used for this violence. A similar case was heard in the Delhi High Court on Monday.
