The rare white-collar, English-speaking politician of Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, Mr. Derek O’Brien yesterday throws a controversial comment on Prime Minister Modi. According to his opinion, PM Modi will not be able to remain Prime Minister in 2019. He challenged that Modi will not deliver the independence speech in August 2019; his last independence speech will be on 15th August 2018.
Derek O’Brien is a politician, author, public speaker, TV Show host and quiz show host. Orethan a decade ago, he joined the TMC in 2004, when the TMC party was still in opposition against Left Front (CPM) in West Bengal. At that time he felt that only Mamata Banerjee has that much of capability to defeat the then corrupted government CPI (M). He was drawn to the personality of the TMC leader Mamata Banerjee, who is now the Chief Minister of the state.
Yesterday, Mr. O’Brien said that he can challenge on behalf of the TMC and all opposition parties that the current PM, Narendra Modi will not be able to deliver the Independence Day speech in 2019 as he is not going to win the next general assembly elections to be held in 2019. According to him, Modi’s speech from ramparts of Red Fort on 15th August this year will be the last speech as the PM of India. Talking to media persons, O’Brien said that the “writing is on the wall”.
Recently West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Telangana’s Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrashekhar Rao meet together to form a Third Front to create an alternative to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the National Congress. The TMC Leader Mamata Banerjee spoke to the TRS chief to convey his support in bringing like-minded parties together.
Mamata Banerjee said that she fully agrees with KC Rao and she is always ready to work with him. According to her, ”I am in agreement with you. We can work together; I am promising to work with you”.
On the other hand, K Chandrashekhar Rao has also agreed to create a new front as an alternative against the BJP. The TRS chief said that there was really a need for a qualitative change in the politics of our country and declared that he is also ready to bring together like-minded parties.
He quoted, “There is a real need for qualitative change in our Indian politics. People are really fed up now. No one has observed a qualitative change even after 70 years’ of independence. It’s very unfortunate. Now people are looking for a huge change. Last time in 2014, the public has proved that they need a change but the change in 2014 was not qualitative. And we cannot expect change if Congress comes to power after BJP in 2019. Hence a third front is needed at this moment in our country”.
At this moment, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Mr. Hemant SOren also phone called KC Rao and expressed his opinion and support for creating the third front. He welcomed KC Rao’s decision to play a key role in Indian Politics.
