Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has reached Varanasi. She arrived there on Wednesday evening. Arriving in Varanasi on the same day, she went to see Gangarati. From there she was to reach Kashi Bishwanath Temple. On this day, the people of UP started protesting around the Trinamool leader’s car. The slogan ‘Joy Shri Ram’ continues around his car. In return, Mamata Banerjee gave the slogan ‘Joy Hind’.
The Trinamool supremo went on a two-day visit to Varanasi to campaign for the Samajwadi Party. She went to campaign for Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday and Thursday. Mamata Banerjee has started campaigning even before she became a supporter. The Trinamool supremo wants to send a message of unity to the opposition through the demands of a section of the political circles.
On the same day, the results of 108 municipal elections in Bengal have been announced. Although Trinamool has won the ballot again, in UP they will not be able to perform even 1 percent. Before leaving for Uttar Pradesh, Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee told the media, “I am going to Uttar Pradesh with the blessings of the people in my head. The people of Bengal already have blessed me. But the more we win, the more we become polite and humble.”
