Actor Kamal Hassan has launched his political outfit and a day before; he visited the residence of Rajinikanth. When media asked him the reason for his visit, he replied that it was a meeting of friends, a courtesy and nothing political was discussed there.
Actor turned politician, Kamal Hassan said that Rajinikanth has been invited to the public meeting held by his political outfit on 21st February. It is one of the four days long launching ceremony f his political outfit. When he was asked about the reaction from Rajinikanth, he said that it was his final decision to come or not.
When Rajinikanth was asked about the meeting, he indicated that there was no immediate plan for both of the superstars to join their outfit. Referring to the cinemas, Rajinikanth said that style of both were different. He said that in politics also, his style will be different from Kamal Hassan. He added that the aim of his outfit was to do good for the people. He said that his style will be different from Kamal Hassan but their goal will same, development of people.
He said that Kamal Hassan was not entering politics for fame and money. DMDK Chief Vijayakanth also met with Kamal Hassan for the launch of his party outfit. He said to media that Vijayakanth was senior in politics as he was senior in Cinemas. He said that the meeting with Vijayakanth was about his health and the tour.
From Madurai, the convoy of Kamal Hassan will kick off and it will launch the political party and its guiding principles. He said that the aim of his party was development and to change the condition of common people of Tamil Nadu.
The 63 old actor turned politician said that he was here in the politics to change the status quo which has been hampering the development of Tamil Nadu. The statewide tour will start from Ramanathapuram then Madurai. After that, they will travel to Sivagangai and Dindigul districts. Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal has been invited to the ceremony. Along with him, Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar and of Kerala CM Pinarayi have also been invited but their participation has not been confirmed yet.
Kamal Hassan had said in a tour earlier that he wants to understand the meaning of his state and his people. He will try to understand the needs of people of Kerala and their needs and what are their aspirations. After his tour, he had said that the state is not an act of rebellion and neither it is a place for glamour. He has also invited Superstar Rajinikanth on the occasion of the launch of a statewide tour by Kamal Hassan for his political outfit.
