The Ministry of Health has allotted 5 seats in medicine for the children of Covid warriors including doctors and health workers. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a notification in this regard. According to the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), this benefit will only be available to children of Covid fighters.
In order to be admitted to these allotted seats, students must apply to the MCC through the Medical Education Officer or Health Services Officer of the concerned state. This year’s application must reach MCC by March 18.
The applicant has to choose one of the five listed colleges. These colleges include Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi (for girls only), NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, JLN Medical College, Ajmer, Rajasthan, Medical College, Alappuzha, Kerala, Lakhiram Memorial Government Medical College, Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. Currently, only a few colleges have been included in this scheme, later many more colleges from all over the country shall be included under this scheme.
