The organizational weakness of the Congress party is responsible for the recent loss in 5 states. This is what Shashi Tharoor, a veteran Congress leader, and MP, thinks after the tragic defeats in five states, including Uttar Pradesh. He also demanded that an inevitable change of party is needed to change this pot.
Veteran Congress leader Shashi Tharoor tweeted regrettably on Thursday after the results of the five-state assembly polls were released. In two consecutive tweets, he has demanded the reform of the Congress party. In his first tweet, Shashi Tharoor wrote, “All the Congress supporters are saddened by the results of the newly released Assembly polls. Now is the time to re-establish in India the plan that set the Congress on fire and led the country in a positive direction.”
In the second tweet, the veteran Congress leader questioned the party’s organizational leadership. “We need to reform our organizational leadership in a way that will revive those ideas and inspire people,” he wrote on Twitter. The senior leader then added, “One thing is clear. If we want success, change is inevitable.”
The shaky nature of the organizational top leadership of the Congress party has been repeatedly exposed. As a result, Congress workers and supporters are leaving the party out of frustration in various states.
