Famous Bollywood and Tollywood Actor Prakash Raj took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the “Promises” made by him during an election rally in Bengaluru. The actor took a fresh swipe at the BJP led NDA government. Prakash Raj, who started his acting career from Karnataka took to social media site Twitter to express his concerns over the false promises made by PM during his 2014 visit in the state. In a rather discreet message, he asked the common people if they still believed in the promises made by Narendra Modi. He tweeted, “Promise toothpaste sold in 2014” was unsuccessful in bringing happy smiles to “poor farmers and unemployed.”

This was not a first from Prakash Raj, who in the past have severely criticized Prime Minister Modi and his Policies and decisions. In the tweet, he asked the people if they believed in the promises made by Pm in the rally speech. In a cryptic message, he wrote “Promise toothpaste” failed to make “farmers and jobless youth smile.”

Mr. Raj, during an interview session by a television channel, said that he was not anti-Hindu. He said that he was against those who are against the true values of Hinduism, further saying that he was against Modi, Hedge and Amit Shah. He asked that how can anyone support Hegde who wants to wipe out a certain religion from the face of the earth.

PM Modi in a rally said that there was a saffron wave in Karnataka and that Congress is at its exit gate. He said that his motto of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas” will steer the state in the direction of development and welfare. In the speech, he also accused Siddaramiah government of failing to provide jobs to youth and proper attention to the farmers. He said that lotus will bloom in Karnataka on the mud spread by Congress.

Prime Minister, according to his nature invented new acronyms for the rally speech. TOP, indicating Tomato, Onion and Potato and the farmers producing TOP vegetables are a top priority for his government. PM said that as AMUL incentive was beneficial to the dairy sector, Operation Greens will be beneficial for the farmers.

PM Modi said that only BJP can take Karnataka to the unprecedented heights in development. He said that the focus of his government is on the welfare of farmers and bettering the infrastructure in the state. The corrupt and dynastic Congress should be thrown out of power and then only Karnataka will achieve its full development.

The elections are scheduled to held in late April or early May. Promising electricity to more than seven lakh homes in the state, PM said that electricity will brighten their lives. Coming to railways, PM said that the Budget allocation of large sum towards the announcing of a train network for suburban Bengaluru will help more than 15 lakh commuters.

BJP’s state unit had opened an online registry and used social media to personally invite prominent citizens, the youth, and educated class to the venue, assuring them of proper seating arrangements.
