Russia’s Ceasefire in Ukraine (Ukraine War) Declaration of Ceasefire in Ukraine is a great diplomatic victory for India. New Delhi’s ongoing talks with Moscow are one of the reasons for the Russian administration’s move.
In the Ukraine-Russia war, India did not directly question either side. He did not oppose anyone. However, the Government of India has offered to hold peace talks against the war.
Meanwhile, about 20,000 Indians were stranded in Ukraine as soon as Russia launched its offensive. Pressure is mounting on the Modi Government to bring them back safely.
In this context, New Delhi started direct talks with Moscow. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has repeatedly spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the phone. As per Moscow’s assurances, Indians stranded in Ukraine can cross the country’s eastern border into Russia if they wish. Arrangements will be made for their return to India from there. In this case, the Indians do not have to face any obstacles!
Undoubtedly, this was the first step towards India’s success. Because, since the beginning of the war, eastern Ukraine has become a de facto slaughterhouse. But, the Indians were safe there!
