One of the most interesting and exciting elections in the history of Punjab started at 8 am on Sunday. The reason is- Punjab has never seen such a versatile election before. Elections in Punjab have been largely bipartisan so far. The Congress and the Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP alliance have been fighting. But this time the fight is different. According to the sources, this time the battle in Punjab is mainly between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress, but the Shiromani Akali Dal-BSP alliance and the BJP-Captain Amarinder Singh’s alliance are fighting equally.

Currently, Punjab is one of the 3 states in which Congress is in power in a single force. But this time Navjot Singh Sidhu and Charanjit Singh Channid are facing a tough challenge to save the average. This is the internal issue within the party, on top of which Arvind Kejriwal’s advertise with the Delhi model in front. The Akali Dal is also in competition with that.

Meanwhile, voting for 59 seats in the 3rd phase of UP has started on Sunday. These seats are arranged in a total of 16 different districts. Elections are being held in this phase mainly in central and southern UP. Earlier, out of these 59 seats, 49 went to BJP. The Samajwadi Party won a total of 9 seats only and the Congress won one seat only.
