The center banned 300 Chinese apps in 2020 in the wake of Galwan’s Indo-China border duel. Again, more than 50 Chinese apps are going to be banned. Such news has been found in official sources. A total of 54 Chinese apps like ‘Sweet Selfie HD’, ‘Beauty Camera’, ‘Viva Video Editor’, ‘Tencent River’, ‘App Lock’, ‘Dual Space Lite’ are on the way to being banned in this country.

According to official sources, the government is going to take this decision in the interest of the country’s security. It has been reported that malicious software is entering the smartphone without the knowledge of the app user. Allegedly, these Chinese app companies are selling user information to third parties without any permission.

Earlier, in 2020, India banned more than 300 Chinese apps. Then in June last year, 59 Chinese applications like ‘TikTok’, ‘WeChat’, and ‘Hello’ were banned. The government has repeatedly said that the move was prompted by the country’s sovereignty and security. The central government is again banning the use of Chinese apps in the wake of India-China diplomatic relations.
