Earthquake in Kashmir on the morning of Basant Panchami. The tremor was felt for about 20 minutes. Residents of Delhi and Noida also felt the quake. According to official sources, the epicenter was reported below the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border. The magnitude of the tremor was 5.6 on the Richter scale. No casualties have been reported so far.

Large areas of northern India, including Jammu and Kashmir, were shaken on the morning of Basant Panchami. The quake started at 9:48 in the morning. It lasts about 20 seconds. Ordinary people approached with a sudden tremor. The quake affected Noida, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.

This is not the first earthquake of this year. On January 17 also, a major earthquake shook Herat, Afghanistan. A few states of northern India were also shaken last November. The magnitude of the tremor was 7.1 on the Richter scale. It is known that the earthquake was felt at 5:15 in the morning. The epicenter of that earthquake was reported 63 km southeast of Mizoram’s Thanjal area.
