All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi is getting Z-level security, the day after his convoy was shot down in Uttar Pradesh. However, the Owaisi had earlier objected to the government’s protection. “I never wanted government security,” he said. “It is the government’s job to provide security for the people. ”

Owaisi was returning to Delhi on Thursday after completing his campaign in Uttar Pradesh. At that time, a shot was fired at his car at a toll plaza in Hapur. Although no one was injured in the incident, the vehicle’s tires got stuck in the shooting, Owaisi said. After that MIM Pradhan changed his car and returned to Delhi. Police have arrested one person on suspicion of involvement in the incident.

The firing on the car of a person like Lok Sabha MP and MIM Pradhan raises big questions but immediately after the incident, police has arrested one person which gives us confidence in the activeness of UP police. Incidentally, this time Owaisi’s party is contesting the elections in alliance with a few smaller parties in Uttar Pradesh.

In a ‘Z’ level security system, a circle of 22 people usually surrounds the person with security. Four to six of them are NSG commandos. An escort car is also part of the security belt.
