In Goa, voting for the Congress party means voting for the BJP indirectly. The remarks were made by Delhi Chief Minister and UP leader Arvind Kejriwal in view of the situation at which leaders from the Congress have joined the BJP in the state. According to him, the contest in the forthcoming Assembly elections in Goa will be mainly between BJP and AAP.

“There are two choices for the people of Goa,” Kejriwal told a news conference. If you want a transparent and honest government, you can vote for AAP. Another option is to vote for the BJP, directly or indirectly. If you vote for Congress, it will be indirectly given to BJP. Because, even if the Congress leaders win the elections, they will go to the BJP. ”

A section of the political establishment thinks that Kejriwal has said this pointing to the situation in this coastal state since 2016. The Congress party emerged as the single majority party in the state with 18 MLAs. But at present, the number of Congress MLAs is only two. After the BJP came to power in that state, one by one the Congress MLAs tied the boat with the BJP.

By the way, in the first Goa assembly election in 2016, the candidate gave up. They are contesting all the seats in Goa in this year’s elections. Voting will take place in 40 assembly constituencies in Goa on February 14.
