Five militants, including a Jaish-e-Mohammed commander, were killed in two separate clashes with police in Jammu and Kashmir. According to police sources, two clashes took place in Pulwama and Budgam during the anti-militant operation. Police also tweeted that the operation was a “huge success”.

In a tweet, Kashmir police said, “Five Pakistani-backed militants have been killed in the last 12 hours in clashes. Among the dead was Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Zahid Wani. This is a great achievement for us. ”

Zahid Wani is one of the accused in the Letpura blast. Forty CRPF personnel were killed in the blast. Police have been searching for him since the incident. It is learned that the militants clashed with the police on Saturday evening.
