When the national flag was raised on the occasion of Republic Day! Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Cabinet Member Ahmed Devakarkovil, it is alleged that he hoisted the reverse national flag during the Republic Day celebrations at Kasargarh Municipality premises on Wednesday. The BJP has demanded Ahmed’s resignation over allegations of anti-national activities.
Witnesses claimed that the minister, district magistrate, superintendent of police, local people’s representatives, and government officials were present at the function. But the ‘mistake’ did not catch anyone’s eye. The Minister hoisted the national flag and proceeded to greet. When the journalists who were present on the occasion noticed the matter, the Minister hurried back and hoisted the flag in a new and correct manner.
