All account holders of PM Jan Dhan Yojana can avail of several financial benefits after a recent change in overdraft limit. One can get an overdraft facility up to Rupees 10 thousand in a zero balance account. Earlier this limit was Rs 5 thousand rupees only.

Obviously, there are some conditions beyond the value of Rs 2000. Up to Rs 2 thousand, there is no condition but beyond that amount, there are some minor conditions like age limit, the aging of the account, etc. In this recent change, the upper limit has also been increased up to 65 years, which was 60 years earlier.

This Jan Dhan Yojana was initiated by PM Narendra Modi in 2014 while addressing people on Independence day. In the same year, it was implemented also to foster financial inclusion. This great mission was launched by the Prime Minister to ensure people have access to all financial services i.e. banking, insurance, pensions in a proper manner without any deviation.

The PMJDY is eligible for all direct benefits of the central government which includes- Jeevan Jyoti Bima, Suraksha Bima, Atal pension Yojana, and many more. Perhaps this Yojana is one of the best pan ever made by any PM for the financial benefits of Indian citizens.
