According to close sources, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi is planning to pay a visit to Kuwait in early January. In the last 40 years, this is going to be the first PM level visit to the oil-rich Kuwait from India. This step will confirm the partnership between West Asia and India.

Since, 2015, Narendra Modi had toured in all the other five Gulf states. This is going to be his first visit to Kuwait. Narendra Modi’s trip is expected to enhance the business relationship between the two countries and upgrade the ties.

India has been a strong trading partner of Kuwait since 1961. In the Financial year 2020-2021, the bilateral trade between the two countries stood at $ 6.27 billion. Indian has so far been a consistent trading partner of Kuwait. They have always managed to stay on the list of the top ten trading partners of Kuwait. Now, the Prime Minister of India plans to take the ties to the next level by visiting Kuwait in the first week of January. Kuwait has not only supplied crude oil continuously and but also LPG to India, over many years.
